N2 - The monastic code of Buddhism is called the Vinaya. These rules govern all aspects of a monastic life, and both individual and communal behavior. For the individual monk and nun, the rules range from those concerned with the most serious types of immoral, dangerous, or illegal behavior, such as murder and other sorts of violence, to simple and minor matters of decorum or etiquette, such as how to behave courteously when visiting the home of lay followers.
