Well-being and entrepreneurship: conceptualizing well-being in small entrepreneurial organizations

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

Well-being at work has attracted significant media attention and growing research interest recently. This interest augments the separate faith in entrepreneurial organizations as catalysts of economic development. Regarding critical insights into people at work, the well-being literature focuses, mainly, on the larger firms, while entrepreneurship studies tend to concentrate on the human capital of entrepreneurs, ignoring the relationship between entrepreneur-employees and their well-being, especially in small entrepreneurial organizations. This chapter aims to focus on conceptually exploring the well-being of people in small entrepreneurial firms.
