Abstract

The structures, NMR spectra and electrochemical properties of the vanadium(III) compounds, cis-[(VCl2)-Cl-III(acac)(bpy)] and [V-III(quin)(3)]. 2CH(3)OH, formed from [(VCl2)-Cl-IV(acac)(2)].0.25CH(2)Cl(2) (Hacac=pentane-2,4-dione) and [(VOCl2)-O-IV(thf)(2)] with bpy and Hquin respectively are described as well as the structure of the catecholate dioxovanadium(V) dimer [Et3NH](2)[VO2(mu -dtbc)](2) (H(2)dtbc=3,5-di-tert-butylcatechol).
