Abstract

In the 1:1 adduct of 4,4'-biphenol and 4,4'-bipyridyl, C12H10O2. C10H8N2, the molecules are linked by O-H ... N hydrogen bonds [O ... N range 2.700(2)-2.736 (2) Angstrom and O-H ... N range 163-170 degrees] into two types of C-2(2)(20) chain running parallel to the [10(1) over bar] and [21(2) over bar] directions.
