Abstract

The molecules of the title compound, C11H9N3O2S, are nearly planar in the solid state. They are linked into complex chains of rings, generated by translation and utilizing a cooperative combination of two N-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds and two C H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds. One hydrogen bond of each type has dimensions indicating that it is reasonably strong for its type, while the other is much weaker. There are no significant interactions between neighbouring chains.
