Abstract

The first syntheses of the urinary isoflavone metabolites, daidzein 4'-sulfate, daidzein 7-sulfate and daidzein 4',7-disulfate are described. These syntheses employ a key protecting group strategy, allowing regiospecific sulfation. (C) 2003 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
