Abstract
This article reviews the use of neutron small-angle scattering to determine the spatial distribution of the magnetic field within the bulk of a high-temperature superconductor. Results will be presented for experiments using single crystals of YBa2Cu3O7. The influence of pinning and anisotropy on the experimental data will be discussed together with the anomalous temperature dependence of the integrated intensity. Future directions for such work will be suggested.
