Abstract

The nature of the resistance term in the equivalent circuit which represents the behaviour of reversible magnetisation in soft magnetic materials is investigated by using the complex permeability formalism. The solution of the equation of motion for the bulging domain wall shows that the equivalent resistance is directly associated with the magnetic viscous damping parameter.
