Abstract

This paper tries to pinpoint just what it is about acting from duty that makes it seem morally repugnant. I ague that there is some truth to the charge of moral repugnance, but that the repugnance attaches not to acting from duty as such, but to certain ways of acting from duty and certain character flaws which are in no way constitutive of or endemic to acting from duty.
