Abstract

A family of heteroleptic and homoleptic iridium complexes has been synthesized and their photophysical properties studied. The neutral complexes were separated with high enantiomeric purity by chiral chromatography, and the circular dichroism and circularly polarized luminescence spectra for each of the enantio-enriched iridium complexes were obtained. The measured emission dissymmetries (gem) compare well with predicted values provided by time-dependent density functional theory calculations.
