Abstract

The reaction of Nd-III with oxamic acid yields [Nd(Hoxm)(3)(H(2)oxm). 2.5H(2)O](n) 1 (H(2)oxm = oxamic acid) which contains nine-coordinate Nd centres linked into chains via four-coordinate Hoxm(-) ligands; the chains are connected via an array of H-bonds.
