Abstract
The synthesis and X-ray structure of the seven-coordinate Ti(IV)(THPED) dimer, where H4THPED = N,N,N',N'-tetrakis-(2-hydroxypropyl)ethylenediamine, is described. The structure is dimeric with each titanium atom chelating to an N2O5 donor set. One oxygen atom in each ligand is binucleating, thus forming a central Ti2O2 ring.
