Substitution of transition metals into azamacrocycle-gallophosphate inorganic-organic hybrid materials

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

Transition metals (Cu, Mn and Co) have been substituted for gallium in an azamacrocycle-containing gallium phosphate inorganic-organic hybrid material (GaPO4)(2)(OH)F-2. Ga(C10N4H24). The substitution of the gallium by copper and manganese occurs at the octahedral site that is at the centre of the azamacrocycle complex. The effect of this substitution on the structure of the materials has been studied using Rietveld refinement against synchrotron X-ray powder diffraction data and electron spin resonance spectroscopy.
