Structured illumination using modified Bessel beams with reduced sidelobes

Abstract

We demonstrate a technique for structured illumination of a sidelobe-suppressed Bessel beam for light-sheet microscopy. By combining a multiplexed axicon phase with a 1D diffraction grating, we achieve periodic illumination with sidelobe-suppressed Bessel beams.
