Abstract

The nature of electric conductivity of SrSn1-xFexO3-δ perovskites was investigated. The replacement of Sn by Fe in SrSnO3 resulted in a high ionic and electronic conductivity, making the compound to behave like a semiconductor. The perovskites with low Fe content showed both ionic and electronic conduction. A higher Fe content resulted in electronic conductivity over a wide range of oxygen partial pressures.
