Abstract

Seinn Spioradail is an exploration of the incredible wealth of sights, sounds and memories of spiritual singing and song writing in everyday life in Highland and Island communities, something which has been part of Highland culture for millenia. The material on the website includes a digital sound archive, virtual tour and soundmap exploring songs recorded during 5 years’ research by Dr Frances Wilkins into the sacred songs of the North-West Highlands and the Outer Hebrides.
