Abstract
Th is chapter has a simple objective: to describe some of the findings and research horizons in the study of scriptural reuse from the fields of Hebrew Bible (HB) and early
Jewish literature. I highlight five key findings from recent scholarship that have important implications for our understanding of scriptural reuse in Jewish antiquity, addressed individually, and in no particular order: assimilation, amalgamation, atomistic interpretation?, presentation versus operation, and polysemy.
