Screening and Data Collection in Pre-Arrival Platforms

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

This chapter will explore screening and collecting information from students as part of pre-arrival platforms to support students’ transitions to higher education. The chapter will largely focus on collecting large quantities of data across the student population but will also consider data collection from individual students. It will explore information on student expectations and reflections captured during this data collection and how this can be used to provide tailored feedback to students, using the Transitions Toolkit, a pre-arrival platform at the University of St Andrews, as a case study.
