SAFIRE: A real time close range millimetre wave exhibition radar

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

Abstract

The MMW Group at the University of St Andrews has constructed a fast scanning, high resolution 94GHz FMCW radar named SAFIRE. We present SAFIRE imagery and outline the practical limitations of the radar in terms of the trade offs between scanning speeds, FMCW sweep times, range resolution, data sampling, processing and display requirements.
