Abstract

Relatively few compounds with n=3 have been investigated. The authors jave synthesized and investigated the properties of LaSr 3 Fe 3 O4-9$/ and report the results. Mossbauer spectra and magnetic susceptibility data indicate 3D antiferrromagnetic ordering temperatures of approximately 75K for the low oxygen content material and 150K for the high oxugen content phase. The compound decomposes when oxygen content phase. The authors have determined that the Sr/La ratio is 3:l within the limits of second-phase detection by powder X-ray diffraction.
