Abstract

The article discusses public initiatives related to self-organisation and to fulfilment of citizenship rights of Roma in Interwar Yugoslavia that illustrate some tendencies in the development of the Yugoslav Romani activism. The overview focusses mainly on civic and political activism, presenting original archival material from the time collected within project “Roma Civic Emancipation between the Two World Wars – RomaInterbellum”.
