Abstract

This publication examines the experiences of academic staff and students within the information and mathematical sciences subject areas. Experiences of staff and students have been summarised in the form of case studies and snapshots of current practice that demonstrate how the student experience and graduate attributes can be enhanced by activities that link research and teaching. Key findings from the investigation were drawn from the questionnaire responses, surveys, published literature, workshops, case studies and interviews. The paper identifies a number of themes and makes recommendations for the way forward.
