Abstract

Pyrolysis of amino acid-derived (alpha -aminoacyl)(ethoxycarbonyl)ylides results in ring closure with extrusion of ethanol to give novel five-, six- and seven-membered ring heterocyclic ylides. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
