Abstract

In this paper, we inductively explore how within-firm goal conflict influences inter-firm collaboration over time. Based on our findings, we challenge current theorizing on collaborative dynamics in inter-organizational relationships, positioning firms as polilithic entities, where within-firm goal conflict can spur complex and unexpected between-firm collaborative processes and outcomes.
