Abstract

We present ‘Pathfinder’, a 220 GHz test-bed imaging radar developed to provide preliminary data for the EU FP7 project CONSORTIS (Concealed Object Stand-Off RealTime Imaging for Security) in which high resolution submillimeter wave radar is being developed for security screening of people at real time rates. Although Pathfinder acquires data at a modest rate, it achieves sub-cm3 voxel resolution with very high signal fidelity and has provided high quality phenomenological data for use in development of CONSORTIS processing algorithms.
