Optical force on asymmetric Au@SiO2 core-shell particle

Abstract

Optomechanical response on asymmetric Au@SiO2 core-shell particles under Gaussian illumination with linear polarisation is studied using the field-only surface-integral method. We find departures from the centrosymmetric case that are significant for optical force and torque.
