Abstract
In November 2024, Ailbhe Ní Ghearbhuigh and Miek Zwamborn led a multilingual creative writing workshop at the University of St Andrews that took inspiration from the ship’s sinking, its afterlife, and the hooks that attached the lifeboat to the ship now barely visible on the beach at Knockvologan. The work in this small collection is the product of that workshop. Memory, voices, the landscape, and the stubborn, yet fragile presence of things resonate here. The collection is a creative rememoration of the Arandora Star on the 85th anniversary of the sinking.
