Abstract
The synthesis of a series of o-anisylstannanes, (o-An)(n)SnX4-n (n = 4; n = 3, X = I or Br; n = 2, X = Ph, I or Br; n = 1, X = Br) are reported. The structures of (o-An)(2)SnPh2, (o-An)(2)SnI2 and o-AnSnBr(3) have been determined by X-ray crystallography. The intramolecular Sn---O separations in (o-An)(n)SnX4-n in the solid state decrease with the increasing Lewis acidity of the tin centre.
