Abstract

Accurate measurements of the nonlinear index of refraction, n(2), of the nonlinear optical crystals of KTiOPO4, KNbO3, beta-BaB2O4, and LiB3O5 are reported using the Kerr-lens autocorrelation technique. The results were obtained using 120-fs pulses from a self-mode-locked Ti:sapphire laser operating at 850 nm. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.
