Abstract
The volume Claudio Piersanti is organised in four discrete parts. Part I analyses Piersanti‘s narrative themes and Italian, as well as foreign literary influences, by inserting him within an Italian writing tradition that goes from Tozzi to Bilenchi, and from Ginzburg to Parise. Part II analyses thematically each of the works to date by Piersanti by connecting them in a series of novels forming a consistent poetic discourse. There follows an up-to-date bibliography (Part III) of all works by and on Piersanti. The volume concludes (Part IV) with Piersanti‘s interview to Spunta. Claudio Piersanti by Spunta is a first, excellent, and comprehensive instrument to inspire further work on this enigmatic Italian writer.
