    Abstract

We introduce and study the problem of manipulation of choice behaviour in a class of two-stage models of decision making. With the agent's behaviour determined by a set of three psychological variables, we assume that one or more of these variables is selected by a manipulator. To what extent does this allow the manipulator to control the agent's behaviour? In the context of the speci ed framework (which encompasses at least two existing models of choice under cognitive constraints), we provide a complete answer to this question.
