Abstract

We present a detailed study of the specific heat of single crystals of the bilayer ruthenate Sr3Ru2O7 in the range 1.5-30 K for magnetic field up to 14 T. While we do not explore the very low-temperature regime, our data establish the existence of strongly field-dependent contributions that are clearly connected with the itinerant metamagnetism in Sr3Ru2O7 below 1 K.
