Abstract
This website supports the research project I am running. It contains (inter alia) (1) a digest of the preliminary workshop’s discussions and recommendations; (2) abstracts of all papers presented at the conference; (3) a ‘Working Papers’ section, with a public comments facility, on which monthly articles are being published by invited contributors; (4) a ‘References’ page, containing bibliographies and an archive of ancient citations and inscriptions, to which participants can add; (5) a password-protected page, on which invited contributors will post, discuss and revise draft material prior to publication. The website will provide participants with a forum for sharing research for the duration of the project; facilitate the preparation of articles for a jointly authored volume; and reach a wider community of scholars with an interest in the area.
