Nicholas John Hugh Rengger

Research output: Book/ReportBook

Abstract

This book argues for a link between a particular trajectory in European politial thought in general over the last 500 years - a Teleocratic trajectory - and developments in the just war tradition, in particular over the last 100 years. It argues further that this link is profoundly damaging to both the just war tradfition itself and the traditions of civil politics and seeks to uncover both the sources of its appeal and its likley fate.
