Jurassic Skye: digital reconstruction of Jurassic Skye, complete with dinosaurs

Research output: Non-textual formArtefact

Abstract

With its incredible range of animal and plant fossils, Skye is the dinosaur capital of Scotland. 161 to 176 million years ago, Middle Jurassic Skye was a subtropical island of beaches and lagoons. Hot, wet, and humid, it was occupied by a wide variety of flora and fauna. This reconstruction, part of the SkyeStory, shows some of this landscape, panning through forest and lagoon to tell the story of the dinosaurs who once roamed Scotland.
