Abstract

The molecules of 2-benzyl-3-(2-bromophenyl) propiononitrile, C16H14BrN, are linked into chains by a single C-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen bond. The molecules of methyl 2-benzyl-2-cyano-3-phenylpropionate, C18H17NO2, are linked into sheets by a combination of C-H center dot center dot center dot O and C-H center dot center dot center dot pi(arene) hydrogen bonds.
