Abstract

Nanoparticles of Co and NiPd, derived from colloidal precursors and supported on commercially available nonordered mesoporous silica, are highly effective, cheap, recyclable and industrially viable catalysts for the hydrogenation of a range of nitro-substituted aromatics under mild conditions.
