Abstract
• This handbook aims at covering the wide range of liberation theologies that have emerged since the publication of Gustavo Gutiérrez, A Theology of Liberation (1971) as well as the main contributions by theologians in Latin America, Africa and Asia. The Handbook will be organized chronologically as to outline the contributions made by these theologies to contemporary historical processes and to other relevant theological movements such as post-colonialism, post-feminism, post-modernism, globalization and the social sciences.
