Abstract
Gold nanorods for photothermal therapy are shown, using spectroscopy and electron microscopy, to reshape after irradiation with a 6W/cmlt;supgt;2lt;/supgt; continuous wave laser, affecting their absorption coefficient and thus their clinical efficacy.
