Abstract
A novel preparation of sodium [F-18]-fluoroacetate is described where 5'-[F-18]-fluoro-5' -deoxyadenosine is generated by a fluorinase catalysed reaction of S-adenosyl-L-methionine (SAM) with no carrier added [F-18]-fluoride and then oxidation to [F-18]-fluoroacetate by a Kuhn-Roth oxidative degradation.
