Glyn Davis, Kay Dickinson, Amy Villarejo, Lisa Patti

Research output: Book/ReportBook

Abstract

This textbook offers a global perspective on cinema, and simultaneously updates the key concepts and questions of the changing field of cinema and media studies. It follows an accessible and linear trajectory from film and media makers to consumers and critics. By approaching the real-world life of cinema and media through provocative academic questions, the book integrates textual analysis with the fresh perspectives of emerging work in the discipline on audiences, production, entertainment, industries, preservation, and broader socio-political contexts for interrogating cinema and media.
