Explicit solutions of a simplified model of capillary sprout growth during tumour angiogenesis

Abstract

We present a mathematical model describing the growth and development of capillary sprouts in response to the chemotactic stimulus of a tumour angiogenesis factor (TAF). Exact analytical solutions are then derived for a simplified model which retain the salient qualitative features of the full model.
