Abstract
In November 2016, the United States chooses its 45th President. With the new administration, we shall expect a new seal in the foreignpolicy of the world hegemon. In this article, we aim to revise President Obama ́s legacy, putting a special emphasis on his foreign policy approach. After that, we will analyze what kind of a foreign policy we should expect in a United States ruled by Hillary Clinton, and how would be this same scenario if Donald Trump were to win the elections. Moreover, we will also focus on the implications that the election of either candidate would have with respect to the relationship between Washington and Latin America.
