Abstract
The results are presented of the demonstration of a nondegenerate diode-pumped periodically poled lithium niobate (PPLN) optical parametric oscillator (OPO) and the d PPLN OPO diode pumped in the 800-nm spectral region. The initial results indicate that increased output coupling is possible, which, with active cavity stabilization, would result in a flexible, compact, near-mid-infrared source.
