Abstract
A nondegenerate periodically-poled lithium niobate (PPLN) optical parametric oscillator (OPO) was diode pumped in the 800nm spectral region. The pump source was an injection-locked broad-area diode laser. Initial results indicate increased output coupling and multi-parameter tuning. These features together with active cavity stabilization will result in a flexible, compact, near-mid infra-red source.
