Does the observation of noncovalent complexes between biomolecules by electrospray ionization mass spectrometry necessarily reflect specific solution interactions?

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

Electrospray ionization mass spectrometry was used to observe complexes formed between porcine pancreatic elastase
(PPE) and its peptide substrates and products; analogous complexes were obsd. between PPE and the enantiomers of
the substrates and products.
