Abstract
This book studies the two first extant Christian hermeneutical works, which reflect the conditions for interpreting the Bible in a separate and systematic treatise. They were both written in North Africa, at the end of the forth, and the beginning of the fifth century, first Tyconius, Liber Regularum, then Augustine, De Doctrina Christiana.
