Abstract

Triol functionalized terpyridine can be grafted on polyoxometalates, and subsequently complexed with transition metals. We illustrate this modular approach toward discrete hybrid species with three different polyoxometalates (Lindqvist, Anderson, and Dawson structure) and two different transition metals (RuIII, PdII).
