Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

Abstract

Elevator pitch examining the transformative world of leadership through the lens of the distinctive ScotGEM Agents of Change programme.
Designed for aspiring leaders and emerging change agents, undergraduate medical students are encouraged to explore and consider leadership within the context of the ScotGEM Agents of Change (AoC) programme.
This session will provide a comprehensive exploration of the AoC leadership curriculum, and how students develop leadership at multiple levels within the healthcare ecosystem. Through project-based learning and placement experiences, students hone their leadership skills whilst examining current healthcare challenges, identifying barriers, and uncovering opportunities to drive meaningful, positive change. I shared how students learn to engage, lead and collaborate with staff, patients and communities as a critical factor in breaking down barriers and building bridges.
