Abstract

Reaction of MCl(2) (M = Mn, Zn) with 2 equivalents of K-2[NC5H3(CO2)(2)-2,3] in methanol at 200 degrees C produces the compounds K(2)M[NC5H3(CO2)(2)-2,3](2) which are found by X-ray crystallography to have structures based on interpenetrating diamondoid networks.
